I do not usually share dumb Facebook stuff, but this just killed me...Some of the worst music album covers that you will ever see and most of them are religious in nature. Try to brace yourself first...these are bad!

Comment by Richard ∑wald on March 23, 2012 at 2:39pm Yeah, I got curious too, so I can give you plenty of links:
Philosophy of the World (liner notes/lyrics)
Return of the Shaggs AP story
The Shaggs and How They Changed My Life
Somebody made a musical about them as well
Comment by dr kellie on March 23, 2012 at 2:24pm Oh, I get that. I have a weakness for stuff that is ridiculously bad and weird. That is probably why I was compelled to listen to the entire song.
Now where can I find the story? I need to know what is behind this music!

What's interesting is the cult following they have, I've since listened to a bunch of their songs and I think I understand. It's like "car wreck curiosity", it's actually so terrible that it's almost an art form. The story behind the band is as equally disturbing as the music is bad, …fascinating as hell, though.

Comment by Richard ∑wald on March 23, 2012 at 9:03am I have one to add...
Okay, …now listen to the title track, the poor girl on drums never finds the tempo, meter, etc. I honestly find it hard to believe anybody could play that badly, even on purpose. The lyrics, …now there's the capper, this one's a triple threat, bad cover, profoundly bad music, pathologically inane lyrics.
"You can never please anyone in the world"

Comment by Suzi Rhae on March 23, 2012 at 8:59am Ken, that was more like a train wreck, you just have to look...my ears are now bleeding. Thanks for sharing, Suz
Comment by Pat on March 23, 2012 at 8:39am If you think Ken Snyder By Request Only are toe tappin', finger snappin' tunes, you ain't heard nothing till you checked out the musical stylings of the Handless Organist.
Comment by Tony Carroll on March 22, 2012 at 11:39pm Hey, Suzi. I just went to youtube and listened to the song. All I can say is, that's enough youtube for today. Maybe for the week. Ugh!
Comment by roland707 on March 22, 2012 at 10:40pm I like "All My Friends Are Dead" haha. I worked in a recording studio here in Alabama for several years. Some of those gospel quartets had some terrible album art. I wish I still had a copy of the one we called "the floating head" cover. Knew I should have stolen one for later. Dang.
Also, the only time I ever thought I heard a backwards message, I was rewinding a quartet's master. It was like "I love Satan". I was like "Did y'all hear that shit?"
Comment by Suzi Rhae on March 22, 2012 at 7:07pm And thanks for making me look up the word meme...I feel like such a dork...Suz
