Been a couple of posts (again) yesterday about the vile propaganda and raw hatred that gets directed our way from theists that are immune to any kind of basic logic or argument a 5-year old can understand. It does nothing other than encourage renewed, freshly envigorated assaults. I summised the mentality as follows here -

"Smear, ridicule, noise, distraction, slander and outright falsehoods. These are their tools of trade. But what it really highlights is that they have no justifyable or valid arguments to fight us with. Nor any realistic defense of their fantasy land. It is pure desperation, the howl of wounded animals.

"In any society where minorities need to be exterminated for the sake of diseased ideologies, the first step is marginalisation, then separatism, then segregation, then dehumanisation and finally demonisation. Then the purges can begin. Another boken record. And it helps when those that are "righteous" are too stupid too see and learn these patterns from history and sociology."

With those thoughts (if anyone thinks the above is hysterical or even paranoid) I'd like to point you to conservapedia [*]. It never ceases to amaze me how death cultists that lie, steal, backstab, slander and incite hatred can claim the moral high ground with the aid of prefabricated ideological gibberish dressed up as godliness and faith. How can anybody be that stupid to believe that if there is a supreme being, that it would look on and approve ? So enjoy. You may need to take a shower after it. I certainly felt like I'd rolled around in manure after reading some of it. I'll leave you to form your own opinions.

*** "Creation scientists tend to win the Creation-Evolution debates and many debates have been held since the 1970's, particularly in the United States.

*** "Given that liberalism is so prevalent in academia, it is not entirely surprising that college graduates are indoctrinated into the evolutionary paradigm via evolutionary propaganda."

[*] - You have to see the Conservapedia Commandments - "Everything you post must be true and verifiable", "Do not post personal opinion on an encyclopedia entry". Positively thigh slapping. You can't expect people who push ID in schools to understand "hypocrisy" when they can't even spell it.

From Wikipedia - "Conservapedia is an English-language wiki-based web encyclopedia project written from a young Earth creationist, Americentric, right-wing[2] and Conservative Christian point of view. It was started in 2006[3] by lawyer and history teacher[4] Andy Schlafly, son of conservative activist and Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly. He stated that he founded the project because he felt that the open web encyclopedia Wikipedia had a liberal, anti-Christian, and anti-American bias."

That said, It is odd that they would go to such extraordinary lengths to look exactly like Wikipedia.

"Error: Some argue that atheism partly stems from a failure to fairly and judiciously consider the facts"

Wow. Over half the crap in there is an outright lie, and the rest is just an antagonist's opinion with no basis in fact whatsoever, to back-up any of their claims. That's terribly sad. Makes me want to wash my eyeballs out with bleach.
I guarantee you, whoever wrote this shit couldn't have even believed it themselves, it's obviously created to be nothing other than propaganda and has no intention of being informative or factual.

Nano: The funny thing for me is when you read through this, they sound as if they have it all figured out: Atheists are insane, unbalanced, unethical, uncharitable, etc.

That's precisely it. Pepper it all with "PhD's" and "Professors" who either have unrecognised qualifications, are involved with theistic universities no one takes seriously, or are completely disowned by their own schools of study. Couple that with a template that is virtually indistinguishable from Wikipedia (its whole raison d'etre is as a protest against Wikipedia's "bias" and liberal conspiracy), and you have a pretty potent instrument for corrupting the credulous and uncritical.

It is a massive amount of time and money being invested in what is purely a propaganda engine. It shows the extent to which they will go, breaking all ethical and moral teachings they preach on the way, purely to make people hate us. Goebbels would be so proud that his techniques still have such obsessive devotees.

You make a good point felch as well as illuminating some of the darker side of the internet. There should almost be a banner out front informing newbies that this is expected behaviour so that they don't get sucked into hatred battles.

Conservapedia is a pile of RRRW revisionist BS devoid of facts. It's as "true and verifiable" as Faux News is "fair and balanced".
