Last week we launched the Therapist Project. A nationwide effort to match secular clients with secular psychotherapists. We have gotten great blog coverage from Hemant Mehta and JT Eberhart as well as on some podcasts. Take a look at the comments section for both blogs and you will clearly see why this project is so needed.
I am writing first to let everyone on A/N know about it and to ask if you would help us. The project can only be successful if we register all the secular therapists possible. Here is a comment from a reader on The Friendly Atheist blog:
"This is excellent! I was in need of a secular therapist several months ago. Finding one here in metro Atlanta was so difficult. Many secular therapists here in the bible belt do not advertise their secular credentials. In contrast, you can't walk 10 feet without tripping over a dozen Christian counselors."
You can help us by passing this along to any secular therapist you might know and asking them to register at this site:
or by posting it on blogs or other sites.
Thanks for any help.
