Comment by Reason Being on February 24, 2012 at 10:47am It is going to be very interesting. I agree with what each of you have stated. There is a lot at stake and I am not sure that Santorum is easy target the left is making him out to be.
Comment by Joe C on February 24, 2012 at 10:43am I'm with you! I think if Obama "trounced him" as your friend says, it would be more likely to polarize people of faith than to make them more favorable to secular government.
Comment by bobh on February 23, 2012 at 11:01am i wouldnt trust the american voters to overwhelmingly reject Rick Santorum when it comes time vote. Americans have shown over and over that they are not too smart. That is why fundamentalist religion is so popular in the U.S. Now is a time for great fear. The power of religious lunatics is growing stronger.
Comment by Steve on February 22, 2012 at 8:08pm I agree that a primary victory for Santorum would confirm something more disturbing. Mainly that the number of irrational people in the U.S. is increasing. I would hope that a Santorum vote could be considered suicide for the Republican party and that we are just seeing the results of the hardcore right coming out to vote. I hope it is not an affirmation of my first notion of an increasingly bifurcated nation.
