The news
So I stayed up for the news. (I'm not usually up this late) I watched my community react to the Freedom From Religion Foundation's billboard which stated: "Imagine no Religion". What caught my eye was the outrage of the local doctor. His attitude was that atheists had the gall to express such an opinion. Apparently he was going to show the Freedom From Religion Foundation by getting people together and saving up enough money to put Jesus on a billboard nearby. Which upon closing of the news report, the news anchor made sure to tell us that the doctor was going to put Jesus on the billboard nearest to the one in question. The segment title in itself was funny: faith matters.

I just ran an op-ed piece in the local paper in York to rebut a piece by one of their regular contributors regarding that billboard. Then this past weekend, a friend and I went there to take our picture with the billboard. It's amazing the hypocrisy of these people who object so much. Not only the hypocrisy, but many times the ignorance (and by that I mean the lack of education on the matter) of those who seem to be shouting the loudest.
The guy you mentioned obviously doesn't see the point that billboards like the FFRF's are going up in RESPONSE to all the Faith-based billboards that erupt all over the US. It's just nuts.

If he does get a Jesus billboard right down the road, the FFRF should purchase the next one after Jesus' and create a burma shave sign theme. Such as:
"Imagine no Religion" -> Jesus -> "It's not hard if you try"
"Imagine no Religion" -> Jesus -> "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me"
It would make for miles of fun entertainment.
