Spring is here, the lambs are in the fields, bluebells in the woods, sunshine and daffs. Absolutely beautiful, and little wonder that I hear and read grateful proclamations of the wonders of God's creation by the well meaning. But putting beauty to our eyes aside, is there not a huge chunk of reality missing?

I often wonder in the great debate of design verses evolution why the cruel realty of the natural world is rarely mentioned. Is it because the thought of God including pain and suffering as an integral part of the cycle of life implies a cruel designer?

Surely if you or I were to design such a wonder we would create a system that didn't involve animals having to tear one another apart, causing unthinkable pain and terror to their prey; just to sustain their bodies. I seldom hear of vegetarian Tigers.

When applying the same criteria against the theory of evolution this issue becomes benign. Another reason why I prefer to accept the chaotic cascade of cause and effect to be the developer of our natural universe, over the cruel whim of an unseen creator.

Dude Liness,

I dig the alliteration in C.

The origin of bad ethics lies in tiger, tiger burning bright. The solution lies in then my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils.

And dont tell me how Samurai are fond of haiku. Okay tough guy.
