Good article Jonah.  Thanks. 

In Mormonism, I remember fearing hell, but fearing Satan influencing me more, and fearing not reaching the top heaven even more.  The Mormon commandments seemed never-ending and it seemed impossible to keep them all, thus the constant fear and depression.

Even by the age of 50, when I was 99% sure the church teachings were BS, The fear was still there enough to keep me from rejecting it completely.

Happy to say I now logically know it's false 100%, and consciously I'm fear-free.  However, there might still be a slight amount in me subconsciously, because in a few areas, I still get slightly trepidatious about going there, like making fun of Jebus.
