RE: Black Atheists of America

Hey,everybody! Check this site out, they really need our support!

Black Atheists of America is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between atheism and the black community. Black atheists often find themselves as a minority within a minority group and underrepresented in the overall atheist community, because religion is so deeply ingrained in the black community. We hope our efforts will build a stronger overall atheist community by encouraging black atheists to be open about their stance on religion.

Usually when someone dies or thinks I may be dead. My mother always wanted me to go to church, but, she only went twice that i can remember in my life. I am the only open Atheist in my family.

That accomplishment might reduce the stigma of open atheism for blacks or create a stigma for Oprah.
