All Atheist Nexus people are cordially invited to attend:
The Freethought Society’s (FS) Anti-Superstition Bash will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the beautiful Corinthian Yacht Club, located at 300 West 2nd Street, Essington, PA 19029, just minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport and I-95. Map.
FS will present the “Friggatriskaidekaphobia Treatment Center,” with anti-superstition "doctors" and "nurses" who will be equipped to assist party attendees in getting over all their superstitions and start the process of ending magical thinking. The nearly unpronounceable Friggatriskaidekaphobia means having an unreasonable fear of Friday the 13th.
In addition to relieving you of your fear of Friday the 13th, the Freethought Society has prepared a number of other features for your enjoyment.
This year's party will have not one, but TWO very special guests:
But that's not all!
The general admission (includes light fare) is $10 with $5 discounts available for students and seniors. Cash bar only. No BYOB. There is no charge for children under the age of 13. You may pay at the door, but the FS requests RSVPs with the number of guests so they can be sure to provide sufficient food! You can RSVP via email at tickets@ftsociety.org - just tell us how many guests to expect.
For a wonderful time with some great people, plan to attend the Freethought Society’s (FS) Anti-Superstition Bash on Friday, May 13, 2011 and enjoy the food, dancing, drinking and camaraderie from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM. To encourage people to not drink and drive, FS is providing volunteer designated drivers (available upon request). Please refer to the Internet to locate Essington, Pennsylvania area hotels.
For more information or to see photos of prior Friday the 13th parties, visit the Friggatriskaidekaphobia website, the Freethought Society's website, or the Freethought Society on Facebook!
