My wife and I just saw the movie and it was so refreshing and amazing to watch a movie that didn't have any religious reference. No holy shit, or god this or jesus that. It was great. And frankly I would rather live in that world than this one right now. It was funny because I mentioned that on my DC challenge page and one lady didn't get it right away, but after thinking about it she finally got it. LOL I mean, duh, it's basically a little more technologically and medically advanced than we currently have with the same rich/poor split with a little roman colisseum gladiator thing thrown in. But just the fact that there is no religion made it a better world in my opinion. Of course I'd prefer to live in the rich city capital as opposed to the poor districts! LOL

Why do they always have to look at a hypothetical future for examples of secular societies? Apparently, their homeschooling lacked geography since they've never heard of Western Europe

At its core anyway. As Hiram already pointed out, this is under threat.

oh we can pull prophecies out of our ass too!  LET'S PLAY THAT GAME!

... the Danish cartoon craze and the call for killing the South Park cartoonists are prophetic of Islamization of the West

and the KILL THE GAYS BILL in Uganda is prophetic of Christianization of Africa

and Prop 8 is prophetic of Mor(m)onization of America

It really is amazing isn't it!  There are no bigger scapegoaters than the Church, yet this Catholic Priest tries to make that claim.  It really goes to show how the flock checks their brains at the door if they buy any of this crap.

HOW is it that christianity prevents "human scapegoating" when christianity is the source of the single biggest scapegoat of all time?!?  Personal responsibility be damned!  Just believe in this guy and you're in like flint!  Worse, it's structured around belief and dependence on this scapegoat without one single shred of evidence to substantiate it!

Funny people, christians ... they can't see the forest for all those gol-darn trees!
