You’ve probably never heard of the West Memphis Three, but you should have. If, like me, you’ve often been made to feel like an outsider, or you grew up with the sense that you never quite fit in amongst those around you, then you need to hear their story. Perhaps you believe, as I do, that religion is an inherently divisive and destructive influence on the lives of ordinarily good and decent people? A virulent form of infection that has the capacity to poison everyone and everything it comes in to contact with (and has a proven track record for doing just that)? It just appalled me how it couldn't ever have gotten so far, and how no-one stepped in to reverse such a massive legal fail.  I guess that's religion though; never acknowledge your mistakes if at all possible, and stand by the really bad decisions of others with whom you share beliefs.

I read your blog. Christians don't like people who look different from them, for example, if you wear all black, black nail polish, etc.  I've experienced it myself.

I read your blog. It surely sounds like they have nothing on these kids. Look at the Craigslist Killer- a preppy frat boy who was expected to be an M.D. Wearing a trench coat and loving Megadeth does not make you a killer, thief, sicko in the least. Religious people tend to be so high on themselves believing they are good people (many are), but many are also the rudest, weirdest, deranged individuals out there.
