This whole thing is weird. Years ago when I first moved to this neighborhood, I had a chance to listen to a discussion of some of the old timers (traditional black Baptists). They were all seriously proud of how much their parents had beaten them, it was a badge of honor. They seemed to attribute their success in life to these beatings.
I just don't get it.

The problem I have is that although I hate the bible god, I acknowledge that 99.999 % of Christians aren't like this guy. That is, of course, because culture defines religious observance more than religious text. More likely, this guy used his scripture to rationalize his nature.

Aww, c'mon guys. Ole' Creflo was just following the eternal and unchanging word of god. Leviticus 20:9. And, he may have gotten the job done had 911 not been called. Then surely he would have a been a glory in the eyes of the Lord.

Here's a thought: we don't need a National Atheist Party so much as we need an Atheist News Service, which covers and rebroadcasts crap like this and gives these stories more exposure.  Pull the pants down on these religious fools and maybe, just maybe, people will start to see them for the fools they are.
