I want some cool new websites to add to my favorites list, so here are some of my personal favorites, and I'd like to hear some of yours (with a brief description please):

Science Daily - This is my #1 news source for science break-throughs happening all over the world. It's updated with a dozen or more articles every day, and always contains something of interrest (at least to me). Articles can be searched by issue date, scientific branch, or keyword searches. Very user-friendly. Very informative.

Cracked.com - "America's Only Humor Site Since 1958." This site is updated daily with funny lists, videos and humorous news. The writers are superb and original, and it never fails to bring me a laughter-induced stomach ache. Do not read for 45 minutes after eating!

Nutty News - This site features select news stories from around the world that are just downright strange. Some are funny, some are gross, some are nearly unbelievable. If you need to feel a little better about yourself, go see what some of these idiots are doing. Updated daily with a dozen or more articles.

The Poet Sanctuary - If you do any writing, be it poetry, essays, stories short or long, or just like to chat, this is a great site to join. It's free and features over 20,000 members, so it's regularly active. There are a dozen poetry categories in which to submit your poetry works, as well as weakly contests. There are also many other categories for chatting about politics, religion (or lack thereof), philosophy, history, etc. There are a lot of people who are happy to offer constructive criticism and feedback for your writing.

The Brain Science Podcast - This site features a monthly podcast created by a licensed and practicing neurologist. She interviews others in the neuroscience, and related, fields, and does a book review as well. Podcasts are archived and there are nearly 100 episodes now. You can learn a great deal about the workings of the mind and body by listening to this site. The site creator, Dr. Ginger Campbell, is friendly and regularly chats with her listeners. She makes herself very accessible, even providing a voicemail at which you can reach her, and will take suggestions for future podcast as well.

So, those are some of my favorites. I hope you'll check them out, and leave me some of your favs as well. Thanks.
