The journey began years ago.

I have traveled the path through my mind many times.

It has been in recent past my mind has begun to heal from past turmoil.

You see what U get is turmoil when dealing with the past in an obsessive compulsive manner.

Remembering the past is suppose to be in a natural recall mode.

I was born into A  Pentecostal/Methodist family.

Until recently did I realize that Although I thought that my Pentecostal Grand Mother was the influential person and didn't fit my Mother into the picture.

My denial was due to the fact both my parents let the children choose for themselves in regards to church. My sister and I chose Methodist.which worked well for years. My parents did not attend church .

Richard, I tried to find your learnerscoffeeshack and failed. Can you supply a link?

Healing from the past is hard work; creating a healthy present isn't easy. I am interested in your journey, hoping you create new memories to replace the old. Because we can't change the past, we can learn from it. If you imagine a preferred future, you can start building toward it. Just remember that you can't change another to suit you, there are many things you can't control or predict, and you can get the toxic people out of life and make a commitment to yourself to bring in healthy people and events. I don't think we exist to suffer or be unhappy. Someplace in our DNA is the urge for comfort and happiness.
