I can't seem to find this piece written by Greta Christina elsewhere on the site, so hopefully I'm not stepping on already worn ground here. She articulates my feelings on the whole "you sassy atheists with your faded jeans and 80 dollar hair cuts must exist in constant misery what with the lack of a marshmallow dream afterlife forced into your thinker!" drudgery that a lot of us have run into. It may not be in those words exactly (or those words at all, ever, for anyone) but you follow what I mean.

Those staunch believers have a matheistic equation for our ilk and that is:
[lack of trust in t3h lordz Jesus "Turbo" Christ]
+ [the audacity of free thought]
x [opposing position to what (my religious leaders tell me) is my own]
= does not value life or the general joys of existence for they have no given purpose to drive them or foundation for moral code.

Someone with an education that supersedes pre-college algebra may need to clean that up a bit.

It's a good summary for my stance and something I would have written had I the ability.

You forgot to mention that we're the cause of all of society's ills. It's because of us that Islamo-Satanic cattle mutilation occurs.

The only line I remember from Cecil B. Demented: "I mutilate cattle for Satan." I've always wanted to use that one, but an opportunity never comes up.

Not exactly an improvement on the "Lesser breeds without the law" ethnocentrism perpetrated by the British Empire.

This is just the rationalization used by a faith based people to hold that a sock puppet god is on their side.

All gods are sock puppets however, so I wouldn't get bent out of shape as an atheist over this.
