Karnataka government not to spend for poojas for rains, says Minister

Maharashtra (a state in India) is facing the worst drought in 40 years. They should take key from Karnataka government's (another state in India) decision to order temples across the state to perform drought pooja (prayer).

Uninformed/Stupid/Deluded/Wicked Governments for Uninformed/Stupid/Deluded/Wicked people.

Earl - Thanks for sharing your views. Regarding global warming, I saw a TED video recently, which put me at ease. I am sure you will like it too - http://www.ted.com/talks/allan_savory_how_to_green_the_world_s_dese....

It seems we have a solution at hand for this problem. As usual, a scientist proposed a solution and not a prayer.

Deepak:  It seems to me that what we have is "a" result of man made global warming, droughts & more, and stupid people somehow think they can pray it all away?  Well, we have stupid people everywhere, and they pray incessantly.  Witness the pope/poop and his "people".  All we can do is to hope that reasonable people tackle the problem of global warming very soon!
