IS IT JUST ME OR........

It seems that my face book account has been closed. They won’t tell me why. However, on their “Ask” page it does list some things. But nothing to indicate as to why my account was closed.
Now, I’ve not stalked anyone.
I’ve not threatened anyone.
I have however, been threatened for my lack of religious “beliefs.”
I just wonder if those individuals had their accounts closed as well?
Now did I post thing like I post on here?
Yes.
I had one picture that was removed some time ago.
Not a problem.
Had I asked a lot of people recently to become friends?
Yes I had.
But I for the most part only invited those with the atheist “A” on their picture.
I did send them a question asking as to “why” but I’m not betting the ranch on it.

My letter to them:

I have been informed by my account on your site has been disabled.
I have received threats from some members and have actually filed a complaint against one who makes it a hobby to find those, like myself, who are an atheist.
I have also been verbally attacked by others in the past.
I have also have some trouble recently with someone trying to hack into my e-mail account here on yahoo.
I may have also had someone try to hack into my account on Facebook.
I have NOT received ANY notification of my being in ANY VIOLATION of your company's policy.
I think I may have had a photo removed but that, if it did happen, was quite some time ago.
Now I have recently attempted to add "Friends" who are also atheists like myself.
I have also joined some groups that are atheist based as well. Some are located outside the US.
As for those individuals I have attempt to add, the mast majority of them have the atheist "A" on their photo or something similar.
I do not go out looking on your site for trouble.
I do not go out looking for religious believers of any kind to attack or try to change them to my way of thinking.
But I along with other atheists have had people attacks us and in some cases tell us to "die" and what have you.
Is that an accepted action Facebook allows for those who follow a religion? To attack others who do not?
Could you also tell me just how many other Atheists have had their accounts closed for similar things?

Or could you inform me of who has been trying to hack into my account?

Comment by Rick on April 24, 2010 at 10:23pm: Sorry I've been remiss in my updates. Well, from what I gather I added or attempted to add too many "friends" on facebook at one time. Or so I believe.
When they asked for a government ID to prove who I was, I said no problem, but my state does not allow copies made of it's ID. True, it doesn't.
But just to protect myself in this day and age of the "net" I asked if they would send me a copy of their GOVERNMENT ID under the same conditions they requested mine.
They have yet to reply.
Soo......
Realizing that, "Hey, it's free...." I'll just go and create another FREE e-mail address and create another ID to use there.
Funny thing is, I never looked for trouble there, but being open about being an ATHEIST seems to attract religious crazies who have nothing better to do then target you for harassment.
Honestly, sticks and stones may break my bones but digital images will never hurt me....
I'll let you all know what ID I use...

But I did open an account at Flickr using my name, Goddamnathiest there.
Seems Flickr has a few atheist and free thinker pages.
Ya know..it seems that since FB takes it's time on deleting your account when you want it closed, I might offer up an option to get it closed faster.
Have your friends on FB file complaints against you. FB will respond to the complaints and shut your page down.
It's a thought....
Now that said, I might go out on a limb here and ponder why it takes FB so long to close your account when you request it.
If they have X amount of pages and members, they look "good" to investors and advertisers. It's like "hits" on a website. The more hits you have the better. Right? But just how does a counter work? Does it only take those "hits" when someone just clicks on the site?
Or does it count every time you page through the site? So if you have a site, with say 10 pages, and someone goes through every page, does it count every page? If it does, that's not really an accurate count on the number of hits your site gets.
The more hits the more the site owner can charge for advertising.
Just a thought.....

I used the account once and only joined to read something which was recommended to me. I haven't even added any personal info or added friends so I have no idea why they won't let me leave..

Not a problem
First though, I'll need a copy of your government ID, with a photo, and your name, with the information you want not to be seen blackened out.
That way I'll know I'm dealing with a real person instead of a computer.
You just can't be too sure in this day and age.

What a cheesy way out. Like I'm gonna make a copy of my ID and send it to some clown. Besides, it's against the law down here in this state to came a copy. So if I do, then I'm breaking the law.
I wonder how their lawyers would feel if they knew that their employees are requesting their users to actually break the law?
Anyway, I'm just going to make another ID.
Besides, if I make enough...it'll really eat up their bandwidth....
Naw, I've got better things to do.
I'll just make up another ID and let you all know what it is...

People can't handle having their religion criticized and so they wrote me stupid messages even making assumptions about my name (Rodrigues, so I must be a descendant of the horrible conquistadors! Um no, I'm married to someone whose ancestors were converted by them) and how ignorant I am and how insulting their religion is the worst thing in the world...and then I'm the one who was deleted. I think they give Muslims special treatment and censor people with negative things to say, the way everyone else in the world does.
