IS GOD SECRETLY GAY?

The Jewish-Christian divinity is depicted as rabidly homophobic in the pages of the Old Testament, in the annuls of the Vatican and in the sermons of many Christian hot heads. What can we make of this in the light of modern psychological research?

We are told in the Hebrew book of Genesis that Yahweh (or El) made man in his own image. I guess that means that this god, like his earthly son, comes with male sexual organs attached. We don't know much about what the Almighty Father does with his. We don't have much information about what his son Jesus did with his, either. Jesus apparently did not use use them for their normal procreative purpose. According to the written records, he appeared to be either asexual or secretly homosexual.

Is homophobia associated with homosexual arousal?

The authors investigated the role of homosexual arousal in exclusively heterosexual men who admitted negative affect toward homosexual individuals. Participants consisted of a group of homophobic men (n = 35) and a group of non-homophobic men (n = 29); they were assigned to groups on the basis of their scores on the Index of Homophobia (W. W. Hudson & W. A. Ricketts, 1980). The men were exposed to sexually explicit erotic stimuli consisting of heterosexual, male homosexual, and lesbian videotapes, and changes in penile circumference were monitored. They also completed an Aggression Questionnaire (A. H. Buss & M. Perry, 1992). Both groups exhibited increases in penile circumference to the heterosexual and female homosexual videos. Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli. The groups did not differ in aggression. Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies.

It poses some interesting questions about the latent sexuality of the Judeo-Christian god.

Is this god a closet fag? Is Ted Haggart closer to the divine model than is generally thought? Is homosexuality the result of an unexpected consequence of the divine model used during his creation some 6000 years ago? I could ask the same about the other Abrahamic divinity but that could mean having a jihad attached to my person, so I won't. You, however, can think about it. Just don't put it in writing and post it on a site monitored by the nations who have applied "human rights" to their god.
