I wonder if I am smart enough to be a member on this site.

Although the only requirement is you be non-religious, it almost seems like to "fit in" you need a degree in cosmology with a working knowledge of quantum physics, psychology, ecology and global history, and a minor in world religions and or philosophy.

I AM an atheist, I know there are no gods and I do know a little bit about A LOT of different things, but read a book about geophysics? No Thank you..I think Phineas and Ferb are more interesting...

Science means to know...but I don't know why they put a "K" and "W" in the word...NO would suffice.  Anyway, we do all right for primates but then again, the gods must be crazy.

You're smart enough. I've seen some real dumbasses on this site. You don't appear to be one of them.

Hey Peggy! You don't have to be a meteorologist to know if it's raining. I say if you wanted to come here, you're smart enough. I like P&F, too. Good to meet you.

There are many different types of intelligence.  I'm the kind of person that likes to learn but the scope of my learning is usually in the engineering, physics, philosophy, and computer fields.   I can talk to someone about theory and such all day but when it comes to popular sports or pop culture I'm lost.

Anyone can study a set of subjects and are only as smart as the information they process as long as they have an interest in such things.

Yeah, don't expect a test of quantum physics and anatomy knowledge over here hun. I would be the last person to even debate about the basics of those topics. Just wanting to share thoughts of your past/present and future status as an atheist. Nothing more. :) welcome!

I am not a scientist either.  My knowledge of science mainly comes from watching documentaries and living with a science nut.
