How many sixteen year olds are out there that listen to oldies rock? Because at my school I seem to be the only one. Top bands are:

Guns N' Roses

Jimi Hendrix Experiance

Black Sabbath

Rage Against The Machine

And much more...

One day, I came to school wearing a shirt with a picture of Jimi Hendrix on it, and everyone who saw it said "Hey look, it's Bob Marley!"

My forehead was red from facepalming.

I love classic rock! Not the biggest fan of G'n'R but I love all the rest. You're not the only one...

Except that I'm 15. Sorry. XD

My wife and her friends listened to Big Band and Swing when they were your age. On vinyl. They got a lot of the same reactions I imagine you get since that was the age of Punk and Disco . I guess that's how it is sometimes.

I'm a rock fan myself and have enjoyed everything from the original 50's stuff up through current alternative.

Rage isn't old. (But they are crazy good.) But I know, at least when I was going to the high school up here, there are TONS of kids that were into Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, GNR, Led Zeppelin, etc. My own taste in classic rock is more of Beatles/Kinks/other 60s & 70s hippie shit, but those Led Zeppelin-ites are starting to win me over. (I am dating one, so that contributes.) Sabbath is good, too.

If RATM is considered "oldies" then I'm ancient!

I liked older and/or heavier music. Still do. Doesn't matter whether it's school or work, I always seem to be the only one too.

I'm eighteen and I listen to oldies rock nearly exclusively. I love all the bands you named above except for RATM (they are too new for me =]).

Wyoming is better than the southeast, from what I've seen. It's still a solid red state, though. My big point was that there are no cities. The closest it has are Cheyenne and Casper, each of which are around 50,000 people. The entire state barely…
