Despite being 11 years into the 21st century, in the United States the train of ignorance rolls on and shows no signs of slowing down. Before, I start in on this rant (yes, it is a rant) I must admit that I am highly disgusted by the colossal amount of misinformation the black church passes along. I am incensed by the ignorance it encourages and more importantly, I am frightened by the amount of, what else can I call it, bullshit the community actually believes.
So, what brought this on?
I accidentally slipped in slime when I slid across a trailer for a black documentary called “Gates of Hell.” After viewing the trailer I had some thoughts on the feature length attempt, but first I’ll let someone else’s words tell you what the movie is about. “Three years in the making, Gates of Hell is a documentary from the year 2016 that chronicles the crimes of a band of domestic terrorists known as the Zulu 9,” the film’s website explains. “Ani Juva travels to the United States to better understand the mysterious black-power assassins, the bizarre eugenics conspiracy theory that drove them to commit extreme acts of violence and how America’s political landscape was transformed forever." Another site headlined it as “The Abortion Film the Left Does Not Want You to See.”
I do not relish saying ugly things about my people, BUT, when ignorance and hypocrisy combine with religious and political dogma a tsunami of obtuseness and fallaciousness will surely follow and judging from the trailer I viewed that may be understatement. Convenient compartmentalization, ignorance, and irrationality are rampant in black Christianity especially when polished with the dusty rag of evangelical fraudulence. The “white man” cannot be blamed for this film, although I would almost bet there is a monetary interest on both sides.
The Christian Church never aligned itself with knowledge and those that did often found themselves, rope around the wrists, back to a wooden pole and sweating profusely before flames engulfed them proving their ideas wrong. As stalwart as the black church stood during the freedom movement, it has turned to little more than a social and entertainment venue where anything approaching reality outside of racial discrimination never hits the agenda. I say racial discrimination because apparently homosexual discrimination does not exist, but I changed topics. So, let’s get back to this embrace of murdering abortion doctors. I didn’t mention that?
Many ministers want to look upon abortion as murder. Obviously they are stretching commandments to the breaking point as there are specific occasions of miscarriage and induced abortion mentioned in the Bible, but they are more related to property—a man’s property, but you’d have to read the Bible and UNDERSTAND it to know that.
Brute Facts on Abortion in the Black Community
When throwing stones it is not smart to do it it from a glass house. First, 70 percent of all abortions go to Christians. That’s 70%! Next, more than half of those procedures happen in a black community that is almost 90 percent Christian. No one likes to mention that because it makes shambles of the alledged affects of Christianity. Rev. John J. Raphael said the black community is short nearly 30 million people because of abortion. That’s 30 million more people to add to the 15% unemployment rate.
Abortion is a service. It may be controversial, but every year, millions of women around the world chose to have it done. Despite the shrill nature of the debate, another fact purposely and conveniently overlooked is the brute fact that none of these near-children are wanted and for a multitude of reasons. Now, for another swipe at the church community. Since they are “black” potential-human beings, the adoption market for these near-lives is extremely low even in the black community. I’ll save that for another rant.
Back to the Whatever
The promoters of this attempt say it was “three years in the making.” The only reason that could be is buying free library cards and throwing them away. After watching the trailer I’d say that Even Idi Amin would give two thumbs-down to this attempt at home video documentary. I say a portion of that because to call it a movie is an insult to serious film makers. Propaganda meister, Joseph Goebbels would flunk it. From the looks of the trailer, this is a film only the late Ernest C. Withers could enjoy it. Withers, one of the most celebrated photographers of the civil rights era was a paid FBI informer. Asides from the blatant attempt to make money on a false premise, the trailer showed nothing in the way of artistic or creative adeptness.
Advice: Pro-abortion advocates should protest at any theater daring to show this schlock, complete with banners, signs and bullhorns. Sorry, no guns.
