This an exercise in advanced stupidity. "If there was no god would there be atheist" Trick question - right?
If no one produced trash would there be trash collectors? If there was no crime would there be police? If there were no brain dead theist would there be a god?

Are you mentally deficient? "If there were no cops there'd be no robbers b/c there'd be nothing to rebel against"? People don't steal to rebel against authority figures - they steal because they want stuff! And someone else already has it, and they don't want to earn/pay for it. D'uh! Cops and laws were created to deal with ROBBERS who already EXISTED.

And to answer your original, equally retarded question (apologies to actually mentally retarded individuals): There is no god, and there are atheists, so Yes. If there was no god, there would be atheists. Moron.

Firstly, I never did nor would I take my sister's lunch money if I didn't get any. Why would I want my sister to be hungry? And when my now ex-husband was screwing around, I did NOT screw his brother or best friend. Again, where is the logic? How could this behavior do anything but bring me down to a level I don't hold to? These acts would be immoral. So your examples are skewed.
Also, since there is no god, only theists, of course there are atheists. Atheists are not rebelling against god. There is nothing to rebel against. This is a rejection of magical beings in the sky. A rejection, Dear, not a rebellion. As long as there are theists, there will be atheists. As long as there is life in humans, there will be atheists.
I am sorry you are unable to see the folly of your assumptions.
A question. Did YOU steal your sister's lunch money? Or sleep with your significant other's sibling/friend? Because if you did, you need to check your morals, Sweetie.

There is an error in your logic Cliff. It would be accurate to argue: If there were no Communists would there be any Anti-Communists. There is plenty of concrete, 5-senses evidence out there to prove the existence of Communists. Since their is no clear evidence of the existence of god, only the belief of his existence in many people's minds, your argument collapses. For example, If I postulated the existence of a Flying Spaghetti Monster, then a large group of people decided to believe in the FSM and follow my new belief system, I would create the rationale for a group countering my belief. We could call them AFlying Spaghetti Monsterists.

If someone came along some time later and argued that the FSM MUST exist since AFSMs existed, you could clearly see the fallacy in that argument.

Also, your example of cops and robbers is not a fair metaphor for your argument since the answer would clearly be that, yes, robbers would still exist if there were no cops.

By definition, any belief based in faith cannot be scientifically, logically proven. Faith is defined as belief in something that cannot be proven true.

You charge us with rebellion for our refusal to accept your myth. You should recognize what you are doing there. You throw that word out as though it is, in fact, an indictment. As though rebellion is, in and of itself, evil or bad. Yet, every human rebels against something. Rebellion is defying something, someone, some idea that you are unwilling or unable to embrace. Rebellion is necessary, even honorable. If I tried to force you to believe that there was no god, you would rebel and be proud in your rebellion. Why would you ridicule or deny others the same right? I guess my point here is that you get caught up in your rhetoric without understanding it clearly, and without the ability to fairly see the other side of an argument.

EXISTS is not a modifier of TYPE/VALUE but of TRUTH vs FALSE.

The literal EXISTENCE/to be TRUE is same as (orange).


IF (+apple&+orange) NOT EXIST .... WOULD -(apple) EXIST?


For -(apple) to be TRUE/EXIST the equation ONLY Needs (+apple) to be TRUE/EXIST

re-worded:

IF +apple NOT EXIST.. WOULD -apple EXIST?

No.

Atheists would not exist if there were no Theists to conceive of the God,
regardless of whether the conceived God EXISTED/was TRUE.
