You could write to your local diocise (spelling?) and ask to be officially removed from their records (if they have them).  You could write a similar letter to the parish where you were baptized, explaining that it was done without your legally informed consent. 

Most importantly, make sure you answer the "religion" question on the next census as "none" or "no religion".   The legal advice is NOT to write "atheist" or "FSM" or whatever.

It is not a question of not going or not caring, it is a matter of honour. If you are numbered among them, you count as a statistic when it comes time for them to preen themselves and rob tax pounds and so on.

My very Italian Catholic Grandmother bundled me up when I was still a squab and had me dunked by the local priest so officially I'm still a member of the flock.  As I don't give a fuck for the flock I don't really care about their "rules"

I'm not sure what you mean by "get out".  Maybe things are different in England, but don't you just simply not go?
