I finally got the Netflix movie, "Atlas Shrugged: Part 1" and watched it this weekend. Both hubby and I got tears in our eyes from the subject matter and the ideas of Ayn Rand's Objectivism. It stayed very close to the book, but it will come out in 3 parts with the next one due out in October. A pain full wait is ahead of us and anyone else who loves this story. Well worth seeing for all ages and mind sets. We loved it!

Through a mix of interviews and movie clips, Paxton focuses on Rand's life rather than her controversial philosophies. Actress Sharon Gless narrates the film, which received an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary.

Ayn Rand's controversial bestseller is the basis for this potent drama about Dagny Taggart, a fiercely independent railroad tycoon determined to use innovative technology and enterprising partners to revive her business, no matter the personal cost.
