Jezuz It was a joke... I actually thought you might get a laugh but I can understand the defensiveness. All these people ganging up on you. But I guess the only way to express tone or convey emotion is through lame :) ;) ;P <@:P or perhaps jk jk jk Sorry...
Well lets start over... If you read my comment its actually sort of supporting you but you probably feel like you're being attacked, I do understand believe me. To be honest this whole thing is pretty fucking dumb. So what, you deleted someones comment... It is after all your blog which includes the option to moderate. To then start a campaign against you for one comment being deleted is pretty fucking petty.
And for the psychopath comment jk ;) :p Only "sort of a psychopath" would create their own constitution and then defend it against a hoard of atheist. Anyway here one last bit of advice watch the blood pressure. <---jk ;)
Well this has grown ridiculously out-of-control... A|N gives Z the option to delete comments on his blog and while I don't agree with his choice to delete his readers input Z has the right to moderate his blog as he sees fit. But really Z this should only be used for deleting spam or highly offensive and/or violations of TOS. Meh whateva...
No offense Z you're kind of a psychopath...
@ Greg. Thank you for your thoughtful response. I'll have to agree with you. Regulations on gun ownership have the potential to save lives. But there is a point where prohibition becomes detrimental to our lives. Crooks, crazies, religious and team sports fanatics should not be allowed to own guns. Much like a car you should have to pass proficiency tests... much harder than what is conducted at present. If you can not responsibly own and handle a gun you will have to wear an emblem on your clothing when you go out in public that shows everyone you are unarmed and helpless. [Last sentence was a joke... couldn't help myself. sorry] Re: school shootings. Teachers should DEFINITELY have guns if they want them. re: less than lethal ammo. Right on! Especially in cities and urban areas where bullets can harm innocent people. Different regulations for different regions is the answer... just not prohibition and unreasonably restrictive laws. I'm on the fence regarding full autos. I really want one but I know they shouldn't be readily available to Christians and the like. Hummmm. Only qualified/real/authentic Atheists are allowed to own machine guns. Hows that?
re: surveillance. London has the lead on this and their doing just cheerio! Actually I don't really know anything about England. I think we have pretty good laws in general. We need to do away with victim-less crimes. Yes all violators will be dealt with in a swift and just manner as prescribed by my further doctrines. You will be tried in a court of law by your network peers over the net or your mobile device.
In a world where there are no bad guys and only silly people-life would be less violent and bloody. But until then you need to keep power spread out and un-concentrated on the people that it serves. Hows the saying go? Absolute power corrupts absolutly.Again great response. You did not represent a single invalid point. aloha -Z
I would like to get some more ideas from you when it comes to #5, mandatory gun ownership. There are a number of people who are both not criminals and not deemed legally insane that are more dangerous to others with guns than without. One could also see how accidental shootings would increase. (This would be similar to giving everyone a car, which would cause more deadly traffic accidents simply because there are more instances of people driving.)
From what I can tell from your gun range example, and please correct me if I am wrong, is that people would treat each other better and get along more because the alternative is extreme; getting shot and possibly killed. It is surely a possibility that people would be more afraid to get into arguments, but it could also be that people would escalate otherwise non-lethal confrontations to pulling out their gun. For example, more school/work shootings or shootouts rather than fist-fights. Yes, everyone would be equally dangerous, but we know that consequences such as capital punishment do only so much in the way of preventing crime.
Would you suggest regulating the types of guns people are allowed to own (6-shooter pistols vs. 200 round-fully automatic machine guns)? Different guns do not deter equally or have the same killing potential meaning the playing field could still be unequal.
As an alternative, how about mandatory self-defense or martial arts classes instead? Or another less-lethal but highly unpleasant or painful weapon such as guns with rubber bullets or the tazer pistols that police use?
I wonder as well, does universal surveillance suggest guaranteed capture and swift punishment of someone who commits a crime? If so, there may not be any need for protection. For example, would you ever speed if you knew you'd always get a ticket as soon as you did? Would you steal if you knew you'd be caught? I would suggest that this could significantly reduce all acts of violence to the point where guns would be unnecessary.
Let me know what you think. Thank you.
Azel posted this video and I think it points out the dangers of not practicing COMMON SENSE. No amount of intellectualizing can justify this behaver. This puts shame on the human animal. shame that we must all account for and never forget. Let this be a beacon to those that loose site of COMMON SENSE.
