Hey Shawn, I think Betrayer of God is kind of cool, considering God's such an asshole.

I grew up thinking Jason was a fine name, what with the Argonauts being so macho and everything, and then I had the misfortune to work at a convenience store with this idiot who was studying to be a priest. Or as he referred to it, "getting married to the church". Ick. I'm sure the church was gentle on their wedding night. So I'm all blissfully pleased with the origins of my name, and hyperchrister pops out with, "Jason is a fine biblical name." Sure enough, some guy named Jason was a friend of Paul's, who later appointed him Bishop of Tarsus. Now the Catholics have a Saint Jason, patron of converts, of all things. Yay.

My name is Christopher Matthew. I guess I've always let it be known that I wasn't a religionist. One day a guy who was sort of a work leader said to me "With a name like yours you should be ashamed of yourself." I was probably blaspheming something at the time. I didn't think of it until John's comment that my name gives me camouflage to infiltrate the enemy camp.

Credit cards, drivers licenses, and other forms only allow 6 characters thus my name is often written as Christ. I hate that.

Actually I got a sort of conflict set of names, James - Jeebus' brother and Augustus - emperor of Rome at the time of his alleged birth.

I know what you're talking about. My real first name is Enoch, after that prophet in the Bible (who plays a much larger role in Mormonism than mainstream Christianity). The name itself, and especially all the circumstances around it, caused me to start using my middle name. It's still biblical, but at least it's not one of the weird ones.

My name is supposed to refer to Mary Magdalene, which is not that bad since people nowadays (mistakenly?) think she was a whore- and I'm all for rebellious "whores". At least I'm not named Jesusa like some women I know (not hating on any Jesusa that might be on the Nexus)... ;p
I find it odd though that naming your kid Jesus hasn't spread into the mainstream American culture.
