Hello!
I have a blog (of course, who doesn't?) over on Wordpress called The Atheist's Quill. Nice name, huh?
Anyway, the idea behind the blog is for me to read and review books written by atheists. Unfortunately, I actually do not know a lot of atheist authors.
I'm not talking about the big names: Pullman, Dawkins, Harris, etc. I'm after authors, who happen to be atheists, that write genre fiction. Just like me!
It is not easy to find those pesky writers because they often keep their personal views personal in order to appeal to the widest possible audience.
Soooo....got any suggestions?

Comment by roland707 on January 22, 2012 at 12:43am It's all good. I wasn't crying about it. Glad you read it! I appreciate you wanting to list it, but I don't have a site. I just sell it at Amazon and createspace. And the two authors thing, Zane is my 21 year old son. We had the original idea together, and he came up with some of the gags in the story.
Comment by N. E. White on January 21, 2012 at 11:37am I know - I completely got that. And that's why I said it was a fun romp. I'm just not into that sort of story. But! It is fun. Please don't feel bad. This stuff is totally subjective. By the way, do you have a website or blog that I can link to? I'm going to list the authors I read on one of my side panels.
Also, by the way, I would have given you four out of five stars if the formatting and punctuation hadn't gotten on my nerves...just saying... ;)
Comment by roland707 on January 18, 2012 at 11:15pm Hey, thanks for honest review. It is supposed to be like watching a B-movie at the drive in. Haha. I hope you got a big laugh or two out of it. That was the whole point.

Here's the review. I just realized that there's two authors! I'm sorry. I'll fix that right away.
Comment by N. E. White on January 12, 2012 at 10:45am I'll check him out. Thanks for the heads up!
Comment by roland707 on January 12, 2012 at 12:05am Hey another member here -
Is also a writer.
And yeah, Bubba is so common here. It's used like 'buddy' or 'fellow'. One day I dropped my keys and this lady I didn't know said "Hey Bubba, you dropped your keys." I said "How'd you know my name?!" haha.
Comment by N. E. White on January 11, 2012 at 12:37pm Bubba? Did you have to name the MC Bubba?
It sounds good. It's on my list. I'll report back here once I've read and reviewed it.
I won't murder you. If I truly do not like it, I will simply not review it. I'll let you know if that is the case. :)
Comment by roland707 on January 10, 2012 at 10:39pm I've written a sci-fi comedy set in the South. You could check it out. "The Alabama Alien Abduction" on Amazon.com. Paperback or Kindle. It's a silly romp about capturing an alien. It includes a good bit of narrative on southern culture. It is not Tolstoy, haha. You'll probably murder me. But, it's a short read, fast paced and pretty dang funny.

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film. The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons. He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.

There is an ad that reads ' Do you support 'traditional' marriage? Vote Now"! .
No, I don't support 'traditional' marriage because there is no such thing. I support heterosexual and same-sex couples marry each other legally , yes. 'Traditional' marriage promoters largely do not believe that heterosexual women are co-equal to their husbands. Their only purpose in 'traditional' marriage is to sexually satisfy their husbands if they can and raise children and do all…

i've got no problem with everyone saying "merry christmas" on christmas day. however, they've turned it into an entire holiday season where it lasts a month or more. in those situations it should be perfectly acceptable to say "happy holidays" or call it a…

I posted the bulk of this on another thread, but wanted to add some context separately.
I finally confronted my faith and embraced the fact of my atheism late last August, 2012. Days after I revealed my "epiphany" to a few friends who knew me from another message board, my sister died from Lou Gehrig's Disease (which pissed her off because she hated catching a disease from someone she never f---ed).
THAT was my sister, understand? She was a beautiful, life-loving, potty-mouthed…
