Atheist Nexus Badge

Yesterday I put the badge for this site on my facebook account. I got a couple of likes and a mean post from my little sister saying that I could no longer be her sons god-mother and I should have never accepted in the first place. The amount of god bullshit that goes on on fb is awful, and I put one thing about how I feel and get disowned. Guess it is time to turn FB off, People are just too stupid to deal with.

It is all I can do not to come back with some smart @$$ comment. Sorry this happened to you. Maybe one day we can live without persecution.... ironic huh?

It's truly scary how----in my worthless opinion---emotional, irrational and illogical people can be with respect to God & religion while at the same time view controversies involving other issues cooly, logically and clinically. Sort of boggles the mind. These are the same people who will subject their child to a very risky surgery based upon the opinions of medical doctors whose own opinions derive so largely from science, and not witchcraft or wishes. Whatever.

One atheist post and it gets so much reaction (some positive...mostly negative). The message being..."we don't mind you being an atheist, just keep it to yourself." I used to have a bunch of "friends" for game playing (Superhero City...I'm a dork). Then my father had a heart attack and I posted a comment to inform some of my friends who know him. By the end of the night I had received three separate messages from these gamer "friends" who blamed my lack of faith for his heart attack. I've since purged my friend list.
