My partner seems to think that Tiger was missing out on something in his marrige which is why he had afairs? like intimacy or conversatiion fun..and so forth? I have a tendency to be very stuck in my ways of thort in terms of family. I think there is no excuse for infidelity.

Does anyone have an opinion on this. Is there any justification for having and afair?.. if so, what . If not ,the same.

kitty.

"Honestly, I couldn't give a good rip what Tiger does off the golf course ... and why anyone else does is a pure mystery to me!"

My sentiments exactly.

Why is there no excuse R? That's an extremely openended statement.

There are few (a couple thousand) animals that have lifetime sex partners. Of these few, virtually none (especially apes) do not have flings with others outside their relationship.

If anything, you could say that there is a VERY good excuse for it. It's biology. You may argue that their mind doesn't surpass their sexual urges, but it's rather theist to imply repressing sexual urges.

Rather, the only reason that I find it wrong is because it endangers the relationship, which is also not completely the man's fault.

Of course there is no excuse for what Tiger and any other man for that matter that does this but the facts are a good portion of men do. I say if someone is that unhappy then excuse yourself from the marriage and do it the right way...

well... people see things that disturb them when they apply it to themselves morally. It just may make people think about infidelity in ttheir own lives.

Really, it doesn't matter.

yes, I'm pretty sure tiger woods had less than innocent intentions for what he did. Things change a lot when you're looking at celebrities. their lives are very different... although also to be fair, you can't completely apply your own morals to theirs for the same reason.

I'd never look at this scenario and say he's right or he's wrong based on the media and biased opinions. All you can ever say unless you're in the relationship is "I don't know. I generally disagree but I have no idea what really made him choose that."

I don't really think that it IS something that you should discuss with your partner...at least not just yet. I'd say you should stop and I'll try to defend the other side as well as I can to help you understand how I see it. There's no need to make you worry anymore until you discuss it a little with some other people.

"yes I should go with my intuition"

PLEASE! don't! I have just spent hours fighting theists about this and intuition is never the answer!!! You did the right thing by asking for advice and challenging your beliefs. If you find no good counter arguments, you can be comforted in the strength of your beliefs. If you find them, please examine them thoroughly. Intuition leads to acceptance. Acceptance leads to ideology. Ideology leads to bigotry. Bigotry leads you to the dark side...
(=P sorry... I'm feeling a bit silly today. Felt like making a bad Star Wars parody.)
