So in my last post I asked what event you would change. In this one I ask:

If you could go back and observe any event/period in history what would you choose?

Now remember that in this one you can't change history only watch. Assume for the purposes of this question that you have a translation device that allows you to understand every language ever spoken, so you could go to ancient Athens and understand what was being said.

Personally I think I would go back to Rome in 200 B.C.E. to observe the Roman Republic at its height but before the rise of the first emperor.

it would be a toss up between JFK assassination(plus I could see what my dad looked like at 14)or to see if there really was an atlantis
