I awake to yet another Christmas morning--calendar speaking.

Thankfully, there was no Santa, angels, virgin births, Jesus, etc. in my house. The kids (4) are all gone, as are ex-wives (2). No one but me. Total silence. No christmas music or television. Just another day in the life. Blissful.

I guess I'm really "old fashioned". I loathe fantasy and its inclusive pageantry. This is true on so many levels, I hardly know where to begin. For starters, I really hate christmas. For one, it "celebrates" the birth of a fanatic. Who knows, he might be mythical. On top of that, we add the fantasy of Santa Clause, reindeer, dancing snowmen, and all that crap. We have mixed solemnity with ridiculous phantasms. Enough already! Don't get me started on the "shopping for presents hype". (I don't give gifts)

We live in a world of fantasy, from religion to Ipads. We are enamored with Hobbits and horoscopes. 3D movies, science fiction, cartoons, commercials. It's an unreal world out there.

Count me out. I don't own any hand held device, not even a cell phone. I don't do "holidays" or movies or TV reality shows. I hate the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". So unrealistic. That's the key word.

I want to live in the real world; a world of green grass, tall trees, black soil, fresh air, mountains, beaches, sunshine.  Spare me from illusory and phony. It's not easy to avoid, but I'm trying.

agreed.  I'm glad Xmas is over for yet another year.  What a piece of work and pain it is.  I don't understand the point of a new holiday at this (or any time of the year) as adults we can do as we like when we wish.  If we have humanlight in Dec. it'll just be the christians crying that we are taking Xmas away from them.

I want that bliss of quietude.

The "holiday" celebration of HumanLight requires no fantasy or held held devices.

The only comment I would make (mostly being that I'm an electrical engineer) is:

Ipads work.  Religion doesn't.
