A reader asks...

One of my readers asked me why her Christian friends continued to say “God bless” even though her friends knew that she hates it when they say that to her.  The answer is quite simple:  Being a pain in the ass, misguided, delusional, unreasonable, proselytizing, pestering, cockmonkey is standard protocol for Evangelical Christoholics when they encounter Atheists.

I think it's also a programmed behavior. They've been conditioned to do it and it's really difficult to stop. I catch myself using religious language sometimes, even though I haven't been an X-tian for years now. (I almost wrote "Lord knows" at the beginning of that last sentence.)

But you know, I like your way of thinking about it better. :-D

And @Eric, can I get a hallelujah? :-P
