Take me up to the vacant moon

To look back down upon mankind

To gaze in awe of all we’ve done

And hold myself smug in those things

Take me further to Saturn’s rings

To marvel at all wondrous sights

To begin to see how little we are

And how little we have achieved

Take me out of the Milky Way

To look back upon it and all it’s peers

To realise how many of a kind there are

And see our home is just one of these

Take me away ‘til the galaxies blur

To give me perspective on life

To answer the question so many have asked

And see no sign of a god, anywhere
