Idea for some tattoos I want to get

vegan_atheist_tattoo

These are two things that will never change throughout my life.

There are a couple of rationale behind it.

1) When I get old and have dementia and there is the possibility that no one can speak for me, this will be kind of a "statement" for others to abide by. Like: "Don't feed me anything that comes from an animal" and "Don't send me to church".

I drive around senior citizens and disabled persons (it's my job...and I absolutely love it) and pick up quite a few from AFC homes in which most of the clients aren't always "all there". They talk about going to church (maybe they want that), but if I were in that position I'd not like a caretaker to send me to church because they had no idea I was an atheist. Similarly, being vegan.

2) If Christians have no qualms about getting a cross or "Jesus Saves" or other such nonsense I should feel equally empowered to express my non-belief.

I like the tattoo's. If, I said if, you decide to change your mind on any of these, it doesn't matter one bit. Who the hell cares if you have those on your body? If, and that's a giant IF, you find this elusive supernatural entity and decide you want a symbol of execution tattooed on your body, so be it! It's all YOUR history of yourself. Love ya Larry. :)

Me too.

My first thought was 'what if you change your mind?'...as, let's be honest, atheism and veganism is something we might change our minds about. We live a long time and a lot of stuff happens between now and then...see what I mean? That being said, I fail to see the link between enduring pain for one's 'certainties,' or anything, for that matter, and not eating an egg. I can't even draw a single straight line between these two concepts. Sorry. I may have missed something.

Oh, and all that being said...it's looks nice. Simple, straight forward, legible...looks good!

Hmm, I'm not sure. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the suggestion Hessenroots.

Nice. Personally I'm a big fan of simple and direct and you really can't get much more direct then that.

This could be total BS but I've been told that ink on your wrists can be a pain in the arse due to the amount of skin loss in the area. Over time you might end up needing more touch-ups then in other places. Any idea if there's truth in that or was the artist I was talking trying to get out of doing the work? He also said that the tops of your hands and the ankle/foot area has the same effect.
