Kathy Griffin's Acceptance Speech to Be Cut from Emmy's Broadcast
"[A] lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus."
Catholic Bill Donahue complained that her remarks were a "vulgar, in-your-face brand of hate speech."
That's right, folks. Speaking your mind is now synonymous with hate-speech.
This reminds me so much of when a lady at The Station told me, one night, that singing and playing instruments as well as I do was "a gift from God." I flat-out told her "No, it's not. I work very hard at what I do. No gods have nothing to do with it." It's infuriating to be back-handed insulted by someone in the name of praising their god.
