Children should be taught about creationism in school, top scientist says

Creationism is a religious belief and should be kept out of our schools, I say. Stupid Scientist:

According to a top British scientist, Professor Michael Reiss, director of Education for the Royal Society said that

'Children should be taught about Creationism in school biology lessons'

Why does the Professor think teaching a Biblical belief in school to your children is a good idea, because, he said

The only legitimate reason creationism should be mentioned in a biology class is to demonstrate to the students what bad science looks like.

This was covered on (in?) the Chariots of Iron podcast, where the possibility of him being sincere about "teaching the controversy" was brought up. I'm not so sure.

If he were explicit about having teachers show why creationism/ID isn't science and showing some of the common flaws, then I'd be okay with it.

How is this person a "top scientist" anyway? Other than title, I mean.

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film.  The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons.  He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.
