This was a very unruly comment that was posted on yahoo and Idk why it got to me, but it did.. How do you feel about this?

god is real....
and you know it...
if not who created you...
who gave you your body and mind..
your family....
your life...
your fellings...
its just wrong if you just ask that there is no god
god is real
he gave you LIFE..
and just as easy he can TAKE IT AWAY...
he is the one who cares about you
only he can hear you...

just go pray for forgivness

I left it as is. No changing of typos.. and for anyone interested, this is the link to the website I seen it on..

I've seen pieces in literary competitions, pieces of poetry recited at poetry cafes, and inevitably, the "spiritual" compositions are the most idiotic sappy facile automatic lazy writing I have ever read in my life.

This is why I say things like "religion is a disease." To the best of my knowledge there is little or no evidence that it is a literal disease...but the level of mind control that it offers is more than any drug that I've ever witnessed. The power of religion truly scares me.

He he he, for sure :)
AI can be pretty clever, ok, this was somewhere between Hallmark and AI

C'mon, TNT ... an AI computer would have more sense!

Comment by TNT666 on February 20, 2013 at 9:26pm

I don't know why it would "get" you... It leaves me completely indifferent, as do most cases of mental disease which should be institutionalised.
Just blah blah that a AI computer could spit out, meaningless.

Hey Jim, I have wondered about that. Dont remember too many others saying it though.

Napoleon, I was on the floor with tears laughing till my sides hurt at your picture and audio. Horseshit, bullshit, or sheepshit - it's all the same.

Comment by Loren Miller on February 20, 2013 at 4:56pm

Napoleon's comment (and recording) just made me realize what we're dealing with here.  Just as surely as there is bullshit and horseshit, there is a category for the tripe which are the believer's words above.  However, its unoriginality and lame statement don't rate the two types of fecal material I just listed.  There is, however, a specific type which suits it to a T, to wit:

Sheep shit.

I have long contended that religious belief is not simply a cultural phenomenon but it also has a firm root in genetics. Like almost all traits, variation in traits exists in our species - the amount of yellow pigment in ones skin, one's height at maturity or the texture of hair....etc. It can be argued that the brain structure, brain chemistry, brain processing routes or any combination would also vary within a species. I'm convinced that the variation of religiosity is genetically regulated which in turn is reinforced and coerced by culture and that produces a feedback by selective breeding.
The writer of this ode to slavery has, no doubt, been “blessed” with the full package of genetic godly goodies and brought up in the cozy blanket of enforced ignorance which the like minded are the target audience..
The people on this site got very few of the godly goodies in their genetic package. Thank god for that :>)
