I just discovered a church that might be worth joining. This is the website; perhaps I am the last to know.

Hope to see you in church tomorrow.

The only rule I am certain of is the one comparable to "never spit into the wind," i.e., never piss into the wind, because then you will need both hands and a clean set of clothes to undo the mistake.

Poor bastards who have their left hand hacked off for stealing, or whatever else, are really up shit creek without a paddle. But, no doubt, Allah makes the inevitable exception, just like J.C. would.
Scatology is actually rather revealing about the Good Book(s), I hope Zeus is listening.

Don't be creeped out by J.C. watching, he is simply watching his dad's handiwork. Los Tres Amigos are such fun loving guys.

I got 6/10 only by guessing at what I thought was the most outrageous answers, not at what I knew.  Except the poop bread.  That one I heard before.

It is creepy that Jesus watches little kids poop.  Or that he watches anyone poop.

On the other hand, an Indiana pastor was arrested for doing just that.   Maybe he was just trying to be god-like?  Plus, I lived a few too many years in Lafayette.  There isn't a lot to do there.  Everyone needs a hobby.

I took it too. Only got 7 out of 10 - Aw, shit!

Pat, I even took "Bible Poop" quiz. Unsaved heathen was the result of the quiz. Oh, shit, no.

Loren, I'm with you.  Parody is a commentary on human failings, bad decision, self delusion, etc.  Poe is a mean childish backhanded joke played on people who are susceptible only because they are not "insiders" on the Poe player.

Sometimes Parody may be mistaken for reality.  We are only human.  But Parody is not meant to fool.  It's meant to play and comment.   Poe is meant to fool, and is a mean joke.

I suppose the one reason why I can deal with parodies like the Landover Baptist Church and Betty Bowers is that they're so obviously parodies to me.  They don't qualify as Poe, or at least not from where I sit.

I HATE Poe ... because (ideally) it can't be told from the real thing without that stipulated "wink-and-a-nod" ... and I don't see my mind likely changed about that.

thanks for the reminder.  LBC is always good for a laugh, like the Onion.  Haven't looks in a while.

Not believing in an afterlife does not mean i am a "sad' person.

I work in healthcare in a long term care facility and I deal with death on a regular basis. About a year ago the opportunity arose for me to take a palliative care course through my work.  I enjoyed it for the most part. It dealt with topics such as end of life care, pain relief and addressing the spiritual needs of different individuals based on their religious beliefs. There was one instance however that was decidedly unpleasant, and unfortunately really overshadowed the rest of my time in the…See More
