Ah yes, busybodies who want to control people's lives, before birth, after birth, and after death! How often do you hear the religious say "enjoy the moment!" 

Cthulhu!? Now that would give "I was wrong" a whole new level of meaning! Not even the Christians expect to meet Cthulhu!

Except that they seem to care intensely about what OTHER people are doing with that in-between part!  Fucking busybodies!

They seem to be intensely concerned about what happens prior to birth, and intensely concerned about what happens to the "soul" after death. It's the in-between part they don't seem to give a shit about.
