Making the Right Choice is Easy If . . .

Men and women are social beings for a variety of reasons, but primary among them is survival of the species. Despite the encroachment of civilization, the primal urge to mingle with the opposite sex is strong and primitive. . .

In the beginning, men and women procreated at random selecting mates based on desire alone, but now there is a better way. Foolproof.

For ages, many believed that there was a perfect match somewhere on this planet meant just for them and now there is verification. I received an e-mail from Christian Mingle, the on-line dating service for Christian who are tired of trying to figure out how to quit driving up the divorce rate. I read the invitation with interest as I found out that unlike other hookup sites, Christian Mingle allows you to meet that special someone especially chosen for you by God!

This marks a significant breakthrough in dating technology, which remained relatively unchanged until the invention of the telephone. Suddenly, the opportunities for making bad decisions had increased exponentially. It stayed that way until the computer and Internet came on the scene. Now, dating is easier than ever, but there are no guarantees. However, Christian Mingle changes that too.

Now, you can find God's match for you; just login, search and . . . viola!  You have a date, but not just any date, God's personal match for you. The guesswork is gone. There is no need to take unnecessary chances. At last, the problem is solved. Of course, you might not get what you're looking for; after all, your idea of of a hot date may not match God's

It seems that Job was a righteous man and was rewarded well. Of course, there were a few minor tricks along the way, but what's a few gags among true believers. All seriousness aside, considering the jokester on display in the Bible and his obvious love of a good prank, I'd be leery of any choices made for me. Besides, I'm allergic to cockatrice feathers.

Barna, PEW, Gallup and more have the statistics, but never report it as a story. Who is the most divorced group in the United States? Who has the most abortions in the country? Who are the foremost abusers of children? If you answered Christians, you are absolutely right. Read my latest book on religion in the United States, "The 80% Solution." Available on-line at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.

Sentient--thanks for the support. I'm already working on another. I had a lot of research I didn't and that I collected with another project in mind. Before I get into too deeply, I have novel I finally finished and I want to see if it's any good.

You both hit areas I wish I'd thought of. I was so intent on following this thing, I missed two obvious area the "Wise One" overlooked. Oops, excuse me, collecting money is religious tradition and I totally missed it. The homosexual angle slipped me also. I would blame it on senility, but I'd rather say thanks to a couple of sharp observers.

I'm absolutely sure you're right Sentient!  Wow.  I guess 'god' had to find a way to match true-believers up and the best thing he could come up with was this profit-making business.  He is SO smart.

Let me guess - Christian Mingle probably doesn't have a gay match-up section?

Signing Atheists

I was going to set up a group for Deaf Atheists, but figured I'd probably be alone in here if I did that so I figured I'd open it to anyone who knows sign language or even interested in learning it.
