These girls on the bus today, talking very loudly so the rest of the bus could hear them. One of them said, "It wasn't in god's plan for me to marry him, so I had to end it." She went on to talk and I learned she had 2 children out of wedlock with her drug dealing boyfriend and was now seeing another man who she vowed to date for 8 years before marrying him. It just made me wonder how it could be god's plan for her to have 2 children out of wedlock with a drug dealer but not marry the guy. I thought god frowned on premarital sex? It just hit home to me, how believers are able to justify any decision they make by saying it was or wasn't god's plan. While the rest of us simply take responsibility for our own decisions and actions.

Comment by booklover on May 8, 2012 at 3:34pm My friends daughter got pregnant and wasn't married and lived @ home. I had a baby shower for her to be nice. I heard her tell her Aunt "I didn't mean for this to happen" and her aunt said "Everything happens for a reason", I ALMOST couldn't help myself from saying "Yep, when you're fertile and don't use birth-control, you get pregnant. THAT'S THE REASON!"
I didn't though, I held my tongue. lol
