How can one see themselves objectively if filled with pretentious and ostentatious pride? And how can they see and understand the world if they cannot clearly understand themselves? Narcissism is the backbone of faith. Faith dictates that despite the evidence, they should always have faith that faith is fact. There is no humility in faith. Isn't that why we despise it so much? The logical incompetence of narcissism debilitates otherwise brilliant and capable minds into submission, regression and negligence. So why is it that so many atheists are narcissistic and full of pride? A teacher will learn from her students as much as they learn from her. The purity of attaining fact has been tarnished by egotistical senses of selves.

I do not remember a time when narcissism and an unwillingness to gather opposing views was more important than testing those views objectively. Maybe I am mistaken.

@thewoodenwand I do not expect the sun to "rise" as it has been proven to do otherwise. I do expect that laws of physics will change with newly discovered data and be elaborated. I'm not looking to convert anyone to my ideals or to atheism. I think everyone should live and think as they wish to. However I am not going to stifle an opinion of my own that I think should be addressed. If anything I have learned in my life its this: People do not change unless they want to. And trying to push them towards it, even if its the best for them, will never work.

@WillFaithlessSophia I agree. And it is through the finding of hypocritical thinking that a lot of corruption is brought to light (governments included). I think the point of stating fact isn't to convert, but to stand up for fact. Those who believe one with knowledge is narcissistic simply because they do not agree may want to re evaluate their own pride and inability to put that pride down in the face of fact. Though again, that is how faith sustains itself. I do apologize if it seems like I am trying to indoctrinate. My approach was a bit aggressive and my use of objective a bit too rigid.

@Victoria I agree.

Everyone has faith in something, do expect the sun to rise?

Are the laws of nature and the standard model fact or theories?

I found that by joining a Unitarian Church is a great way to meet atheists and a place to convert theist. Only when you get your hands dirty will you actually help convert and get help realize change.

I would go even further in that faith is a wolf in sheep's clothing. It's being 'modest' by saying that we cannot do anything without faith in god, yet that we are the center of God's plan. I think that's why we see people get away with having faith all the time.
