Awkward
So, I'm in the breakroom today and a co-worker says to me, that it's a shame that we get more time off at Thanksgiving than xmas. We should be celebrating "the birth". She asked me if I agreed. I said that I didn't share her feelings on that and to have a nice Thanksgiving.

@ Dr. Cowboy - Ohhhhh I so wanted to go there, but I was at work so I had to remain cool. I like xmas trees and presents too. For me that day is just a gift exchange for family, friends, and another reason to eat!

You're so much nicer than me, I probably would have reminded her that had Jesus actually existed he almost certainly wasn't born on Dec 25th and that Christmas is actually a pagan festival (Yule) that was usurped by the Catholic Church centuries ago in an effort to facilitate the conversion of pagans to Christianity, but that's just me ;) I like Xmas trees and presents anyway.

I was always annoyed at the assumption that everyone in the workplace is Christian too. They're the only ones who can take it for granted that way.
