Nerdlass, as I read you description, I can feel the pain myself. It is absurd that these adults allowed their humanity to be overridden by some faith in a God. It is barbaric, insane behavior. Looking down at a 8-day old baby screaming while you inflict the pain on this helpless human being. I tell God go F... himself. It is child abuse and should be stopped. Let the adults enjoy inflecting pain on each other, not on babies.

Doctors try to make the case that there is a high percentage of men who do not get VD because they are circumcised.  I guess that means they could make a 100% if they just wack the whole thing off.

I agree.  The supposed benefits of circumcision are benefits that would come from hygiene and from a society were people can talk openly about human bodies and sex.  The main purpose of circumcision is to control the future adult sexuality of the baby boy and decrease his enjoyment later in life.

I agree.  I spent the day with a recently circumcised infant.  His little penis was fire-engine red and every time his diaper was changed he screamed like he was being bathed in acid.  It's pure child abuse and the attempts to preserve the practice under the banner of "religious freedom" is absurd.

I was at my nephew's bris... I heard the scream from his 8-day old mouth... no sound like that should ever come from a little baby... I broke down in tears. I realized that it was a big occasion for my brother and his wife, and a milestone for their family, but it was not something I would ever EVER choose for a child.
