"When I pray, I pray believing that God will speak to me and give me an answer to that prayer, and so that’s what a calling is,” she told CBS News on Sunday, explaining that she had prayed about her decision to seek the presidency. “If I pray, a calling means that I have a sense from God which direction I’m supposed to go.”
No disrespect intended, but, really, this is not the analytical method that I would feel comfortable with in our President. Hoping and wishing for some instructional epiphany from a non-existent supernatural being might be appropriate for a comic book, but not for a real life manager/commander in chief of the United States.

Comment by Lindsey S. on June 28, 2011 at 2:46pm Compared to the rest of the republican candidates, Mitt Romney actually looks appealing. He seems to be the one least likely to cause america to collapse in on itself into a giant black hole of stupidity and irrational thought.
Comment by Sentient Biped on June 28, 2011 at 9:31am I just watched her Hannity clip. I would not underestimate Bachmann. She was well spoken, serious, no beating around the bush. She had gravitas that is lacking in the political scene.
That doesn't mean I like her. Her sanctimonious religiousity is frightening. She's a homophobe. She seemed to call for a MaCarthyite era in congress a few years back.
I would not underestimate her. She has much more integrity than Gingrich, more 'outsider' credibility than Romney, along with she'd not a Mormon, she has tea party credentials, and she is not the circus clown that Palin is.

Whether it is in the microcosm or macrocosm her way of thinking is down right dangerous. In any sane country Bachman's quote is indicative of mental illness or extreme credulity/stupidity and automatically will disqualify her from public office.
