The Juxtaposition of Biblical Contradictions - Material Wanted

I need material for deconstructing the Christian myth in arguments with loved but religious friends.

Can you help?

I’m after quotes from the Bible that clearly contradiction each other.

I’m sure there are a few of you out there who’ve had religious instruction who might come to this more easily than myself – who was brought up “dad was an atheist” and “mum joined an Indian cult”.

There are a lot of weird comments like that in the bible - I'm sure if we could get them all in a list we could have hours of fun looking at the contradictions of them all juxtaposed.

This is a pdf from Sam Harris's site Project Reason, which lists all the contradictions on a poster.

With this contradition about the fool - it doesn't make sense that God would sanction this sort of contradition or text open to such misinterpretation - as this goes against my understanding of what god is meant to be - surely god is meant to be perfect and therefore he/she would not allow such a book to be written - or if indeed is was, and it is then he/she wouldn't then support it as a valid text - if in fact god does read and write at all - which is questionable.

Here, I'm thinking about arguments I might make to my loved and religious friends...

Nicked from the April fools blog spot…

Psalms 14:1 saying that:

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none that does good.

Matthew 5:22, they are going to burn in hell for as it was said:

Whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
