The Juxtaposition of Biblical Contradictions - Material Wanted
I need material for deconstructing the Christian myth in arguments with loved but religious friends.
Can you help?
I’m after quotes from the Bible that clearly contradiction each other.
I’m sure there are a few of you out there who’ve had religious instruction who might come to this more easily than myself – who was brought up “dad was an atheist” and “mum joined an Indian cult”.
There are a lot of weird comments like that in the bible - I'm sure if we could get them all in a list we could have hours of fun looking at the contradictions of them all juxtaposed.

it's funny with the internet - that I ask a question and it's now just so easily answers with just so much information - great - and once a person knows it's there, the internet is always ready to be searched and found again....
it gives lots of confidence to a debate to have the backing of evidence.

Thanks Earl - you really do highlight the totally ridiculous and unbelievably silly 'logic' that simply doesn't add up - when you put it like that.....
I've confronted those of faith before on their believes and I am much more subtle than this - but they always go to saying that I have misinterpreted the bible, mis quoted or mis understood the meaning..... interesting arguments! LOL
I'll check out that website :)

Sorry Alice, I couldn't get much more involved in answering your question on 'intelligent design' yesterday... I was busy...
Religionists are resorting to 'intelligent design' to stave off the science of the fable, thst the book of genesis really is... Come on!!! The Earth is only 6000 years old? We know through scientific studies that the Earth has been traceable for billions of years.
My earlier comments about adam and eve were to focus on the inherent absurdities in the theory of genesis. Mainly evolution...
Religionists jumped on the 'intelligent design bandwagon' because they were hemorrhaging slaves\ err congregation... Think where where we would be today if the church had not persecuted those scholars of science in the dark ages.
Sure in primitive human history, when the sky rumbled- and they knew not why- god filled the gap... How pathetic of our ancestors...
My point specifically on genesis was, if the human cell was created by god- NOT EVOLUTION- then there was no need for the book of genesis. IT\god did not create dinosaurs- yet we have empirical evidence they were on this planet, then we just popped into existence hence 'intelligent design'... Negating the need of adam-eve, original sin, therefor making the book of genesis moot, and jesus christ- no original sin, no need for christ... The church made up original sin to protect it's placement in the sociopathic minds of religious sheep... Look what the catholic church did to the Templars, once they gained so much power... MURDERED every one they could find... That's where we get Friday the 13th... The day of the edict...
