I tried to get out of the church of England/Anglican Church. I was told it was a gift and there was no get-out. Some gift.
Now, I am very serious about leaving this organization so absurd. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone ever come up against this foolishness?
I have been a practising atheist all my talking life. My Mum and Dad just got me baptized like all the other kids had been. It was not their fault, they wanted no trouble with the authorities.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Dr. Peter A. Muckley

You could write a similar letter to the parish where you were baptized, explaining that it was done without your legally informed consent.
Most importantly, make sure you answer the "religion" question on the next census as "none" or "no religion". The legal advice is NOT to write "atheist" or "FSM" or whatever.
