Lasik stuff

So I went to the local Lasik place here this morning for a consultation. After a quick check on a very snazzy machine that gave my prescription after only 2 minutes of making a little pinwheel image come into focus for each eye (it not only gave my Rx but also was able to tell that I had astigmatism in both eyes!), I got to hear the real scoop on cost.



$2745 total!! (Unless I need permanent "plugs" to help with tearing. Those are an additional $398.)

Madagascar 2

Has a great illustration of the silliness of religion with King Julian and his "Sacrifice to the volcano." If you haven't seen it. Watch it (the whole movie is pretty funny, anyway). That's all. :-)

Annoyingly amusing

So I quote the Treaty of Tripoli in a discussion about how America is NOT a "Christian Nation" and what do I get in return?



Basically that I'm somehow "taking it out of context" and that it really meant that America was not like Britain (a "truly Christian nation" in that there was no separation), yet... I'm still wrong and America was founded on "Christian ideals" by "Christian men and women" (though which women I'm not sure), and that we are a "Christian nation".
