Triad Pride 2010

Well we did it! Despite seemingly

homophobic issues from a few members of our group, diminishing funds and

last minute issues, the Greensboro Atheist Organization got a booth at

the LGBT pride festival here in Greensboro, NC. Yay! Our first outreach

My atheist group is in need

Hi everyone from Atheist Nexus! About half of the members of my group, the Greensboro Atheist Organization, seem to express an interest in

the activism side of the group. While non religious people make up

about 15% of the population and growing we still face huge equal rights

issues. I'm happy to say that we're working on some things for these

people in addition to our normal social activities, but we can't do it

Atheists: when disbelief does not equal logic or critical thinking.

I've joined atheist forums all over the internet and even started my own local group of free thinkers to get together and have conversations that include logic and critical thinking, but I've started to notice something. I never dreamed I'd make a difference

When I started the Greensboro Atheist Meetup I was, I'll admit, a little manic. I had the energetic urge to get out into the world, make a difference, and bring people together.
